Mira Showers saved 139,000kg of CO² emissions in 2023 on tray packaging alone!

We’re helping to build a better planet through our target of reducing resources usage by 3% a year. Our sustainable actions include adopting 100% renewable electricity by 2035, achieving net zero scope 1 and 2 emissions, as well as reducing and recycling waste generated and water waste.
As part of our ongoing commitment to a better planet at the end of March 2023 we changed our Mira Flight Trays packaging from mainly polystyrene, an environmentally unfriendly material, to a more sustainable cardboard solution saving approximately 6000m³ or 100 tonnes of plastic p.a. As well as saving the planet the new packaging also outperformed the old plastic packaging in transit tests making it more robust, ensuring Mira flight trays reach their destination ready to be installed.
The new packaging:
- Is made up from 80% recycled content
- The cardboard used is from 100% FSC accredited woodlands
- Is 100% recyclable
